Hiho, I own a 2014 Ford Diesel C-max with the Getrag Powershift transmission that I've had mapped out to 420N.m of torque which drives really well. There is one slightly annoying feature of this vehicle and that is the kick-down. I've got loads of low down grunt but if I go too quickly on the throttle it kicks down a gear and pings off the rev limiter, essentially kneecapping all of the available torque.
My question is, can the PCM be remapped to remove the kick-down?
There is no physical button at the end of travel on the throttle pedal, I assume it uses the throttle position sensor to activate.
